Technologies and Materials

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

Possible materials:

Nylon PA11

Nylon 11 SLS powder is perfect for robust parts that have to be able to bend and is durable. Prototypes printed with PA11 are durable and have minimal wear and tear. Nylon PA11 is suitable for parts that need extra resistance or require thin walls.

Nylon PA12

Nylon PA12 is strong with a high attention to detail. Therefore this material is very suitable for functional prototypes, but also for (composed) durable parts for end-users. Nylon PA12 has a tensile strength of 50MPa and has an elongation of 11%.

Nylon PA12 GF

Nylon PA12 GF is a new introduced Glass-reinforced material. The material can be used for stiff functional prototypes or end-use parts for applications where structural rigidity and thermal stability are critical.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)

Possible materials:

ABS

ABS is a hard, but still bendable and strong material. It consists of good mechanical qualities, therefore it is suitable to print functional prototypes and complex end-products. ABS can withstand high temperatures (85 °C).

CPE

CPE has an outstanding chemical resistance and is also shape-retaining. This makes CPE suitable for functional prototypes and mechanical parts.

CPE+

CPE+ has almost the same characteristics as normal CPE filament, but can withstand a higher temperature (100 °C) and higher impact forces.

Nylon

Nylon is a hard material, but also flexible. Therefore, it can withstand chemicals and UV-light. This material barely absorbs water.

PC

PC is one of the strongest and durable print materials on the market. The material can withstand temperatures of up to 110 °C. It also has flame retardant properties. PC is perfect for strong prints. PC is also available in a transparant colour.

PLA

PLA is a relatively strong and light flexible material. The material has incredible surface finish and is therefore extremely convenient for detailed printing.

Tough PLA

Tough PLA is a filament that is extremely strong. It will nog bend. It has the mechanical qualities of ABS combined with the printing convenience of PLA. Parts printed with tough PLA have no wear and tear and can withstand shocks. That’s why tough PLA is very suitable for prototypes that have to go through all sorts of tests.

Single Pass Jetting (SPJ)

Possible materials:

RVS 17-4PH

RVS 17-4PH is a martensitic RVS type which has good mechanical characteristics. It has a tensile strength of 660MPa and a toughness of 37 HRC. That is why RVS 17-4PH is perfect for welding.
